Zahid & Deputy: Ex-CJ drafted ‘unconstitutional’ IPCMC…Preposterous!

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has refuted Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s argument that the operation of the proposed Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) would contravene the federal constitution.police commission report 130505 dzaiddin all smilesHe reminded Ahmad Zahid that the commission was drafted by none other than former chief justice Mohamed Dzaiddin Abdullah (left).
Describing Zahid’s claim” as “reckless and perverse logic”, Lim also said it is a “slur on the reputation of the highest judge in Malaysia and questions his basic legal competency”.
“Zahid is not a lawyer and he should ask Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail to forward legal arguments how setting up the IPCMC is unconstitutional,” Lim said in a statement today.
He also said Zahid should apologise to Mohamed Dzaiddin, the ninth chief justice, if he is unable to prove his claim.
NONE“Such wild claims by the home minister to justify the unjustifiable and defend the indefensible in the face of overwhelming factual evidence to the contrary, has been the governing approach adopted by the BN federal government,” Lim added.
Yesterday, Zahid (right) told Parliament that the IPCMC is not in line with the federal constitution and is against the concept of justice.
The view was echoed today by his deputy Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, who further claimed that the IPCMC would treat police personnel worse than criminals.

  1. What else could these ‘learned’ Umno rapscallions have come up with, especially when you have done your best ? You just can’t fill two gallons of liquid in one that is made for half a gallon, now you know why Malaysia is in a bloody shamble in every field. These will remain so when people are appointed to head the areas because of the complexion of their skin and not because of their abilities ?
To remedy the above short comings the only way is to have the tenants in Putrajaya replaced, even though the majority of Malaysians have wanted to do that in the last GE but as usual the rapscallions in Umno found a way to remain in Putrajaya. Therefore, make sure these Umno morons don’t get the same chance to do so in the next GE or there still is a chance at the present moment to replace them. If the coalition partners leave the so called BN and thereby leaving Umno as the minority in parliament thus kicking them out Putrajaya. Only then will these shambles cease on this country !

  2. Maybe the deputy minister Wan has a point about the police if IPCMC becomes a reality, Police officers especially those that excel in abuses of power, IPCMC is a nightmare to them. These guys do not want any checks and balances mechanism in their life. Without these “powers”, their side incomes and protective covers will be blown, their licences to do things their “laws” way are gone. Yes, they will “feel” that they are being treated worse than criminals once they are stripped naked of these powers. Perhaps, this deputy minister should consult and consider the aspirations of the real professional police officers in the force instead of those politically appointed officers sitting in their air-cond rooms up in Bukit Aman.

  3. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw
away your intelligence on just posting videos
to your weblog when you could be giving us something informative
    to read?
